Toshiba Laptop Num Lock Stuck On Fix

I have a laptop, Toshiba model Q301L, that for some reason since installing Windows 10 the num lock is always on when I startup the computer. How you tell is that when you type certain letters it shows something other than the letter your typing. For example the p will be a * and 0 will show up as an /. This can be really annoying! Sometimes when it's turned off, it'll come back on sometime later. I've seen the post about how to fix this in the registry, which didn't work in my particular case.  The following steps helped me to fix the problem on my computer.

1. Type OSK in the search bar and hit enter. OSK is the On Screen Keyboard.
2. If num lock is on, you'll see it highlighted in the bottom right hand side of the screen. Click on the num lock key.

That's it, now you num lock is off and you can start typing normal again. You can see in the picture below that the num lock is highlighted. If it's always on when you restart your computer, check in the bios to see if it's on by default. You can Google how to do that. Hope this fix helps some people out!
