Closing Down the T-shirt Business

I knew it was a pretty slim chance of my t-shirt business taking off. One of the issues was that I'm the only one running the business. It takes a lot of time to keep everything running. This included marketing, new designs, and just keeping everything organized.

On the marketing side I tried Facebook Ads, Google Adwords, as well as Twitter Ads. I even had a one on one call with a Google Adwords consultant that helped setup keywords for my business. If you really want to get the word out it takes more money than I was willing to spend. Even with all this I wasn't getting a good return rate on the site.

Initially most of my sales came from family and friends. Sharing on Facebook was really helpful as well, but this will only take  you so far. I only really received a few sales that weren't friends or friends of friends.

So in the end I decided to shut the business down because I just didn't have enough time to keep it going with having a son, girlfriend, and other hobbies that I to give more attention. Without sales, I was still paying for the website. So if I'm not getting any business, I'm losing money. You can really only lose money for so long before you want to hang it up.  It was a good run while it lasted and it was a good learning experience. I'd like to thank everyone that contributed and supported me through the process.
