Asus Keyboard Numlock Stuck On - Fix 1

Asus Laptop NumLock Fix

So for a while my Asus laptop has had the numlock key stuck on. So you say "Why don't you just hit the numlock key again and turn it off?" The problem is my keyboard has no numlock key. I've read on the internet where some people say to go edit the registry settings and others say to go into the bios and uncheck the numlock setting.  My registry setting was already set correctly and I didn't have a setting in my bios. This was really annoying!

Most of the time it didn't bother me because I have an external keyboard connected to the laptop. The laptop is mostly used for recording music. After searching the internet and trying various things I finally found something that worked, and when I find something that works I'm all about sharing for others to find.

The following is what I did to fix my problem.

Open up notepad and copy the following:

set WshShell = CreateObject("wScript.Shell")
WshShell.SendKeys "{NUMLOCK}"

Paste into notepad. Save as numlockfix.vbs

Click on the file and it will turn on and off your numlock. Enjoy the fix! Just a reminder, this may not work for everyone.

I've found a solution that should work for everyone. Here's the link to that post. If this post has been helpful be sure to share, like, and comment!
