Family History Photo Display

I had seen a picture either on or and wanted to created something similar. In the picture was a table setup with a couple of old cameras and some old photos. It also had some kind of old crate on the table with some of the photos in it.

After seeing that picture I knew I wanted to create something similar. The first thing I did was get on eBay and ordered 2 old Kodak cameras, one made in the 40’s and one made in the 50’s.  CVS Pharmacy had some kind of special where their 4x6 photos were dirt cheap, so I ordered 70. The photos came from my family research that I’ve been working on for about 10 years. I’ve collected many photos.  While I was at CVS I saw a pencil box that worked out perfect for the display.  At the time I didn’t know what I was going to place on the wall above the display, there was an existing picture that really didn’t go with my photo setup. Then all of a sudden it clicked, I’ll create one large photo with a collage of photos on the wall. I then headed to the Dollar Store to get some cheap frames for the wall.

Once I had all the items it only took about 10 minutes to setup the display. I’m really happy of how it turned out. It was even better than I had pictured in my head! Feel free to comment on your thoughts.
